TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

This is an action packed bucket list vacation! While the stunning beauty of it all is enough to make the most seasoned traveler jealous, the places we will take you and the activities we will do will blow your mind.

These are just a few of the highlights!

Float Plane, Fishing, Bears & Icebergs - Get out the bucket list! This once in a lifetime opportunity is a story you’ll tell for ages and it all happens in one day! Taking off from a remote lake, our float plane fly’s across the ocean and lands on another remote lake. We’re picked up in a flat bottom boat and driven to a waterfall where Sockeye salmon are running up river. The local bears know where to get an easy meal and while we throw in our polls to fish, the bears are enjoying a morning snack just yards away from us. It’s surreal! We end the day flying over stunning glaciers on our way back to the lake we started from. As always, we’ve got it all planned for you. Just wake up, show up and let the amazing begin!

Helicopter Tour / Glacier Hike - Ok, you don’t have to hike on the glacier. But we highly recommend it! A scenic helicopter flight takes us to the base of a glacier where we gear up for what is to be a thrilling day of adventure. Our professional guides take us through a detailed training of how to walk on ice and traverse the glacier. We’ll drink water from it and look into the crevasse of the stunning blue ice. If the hike is not your thing, no problem. We’ll send you on a flight only tour to soak in a beautiful view of ice from above.

Kayak Kenai Lake - When we recently visited Kenai Lake there was simply one word to describe this place. Majestic. It’s the most beautiful lake we’ve ever seen. And we’ve seen a lot of them. We’ll spend a few hours here kayaking and simply blissing out! Keep an eye out for the bald eagles. You may just get a sense your soaring with them. Empowered. Strong. Living fully.

*No paddling experience necessary. Full dry gear and / or wetsuits provided. The lake is glass!

Veilbreaker Skybridge Hike - Don’t freak out! We know this isn’t for everyone. But a stunning hike around the mountain is. All guests will take the tram to the top of Alyeska Resort together. The dare devils in the group will split off to do the Skybridge hike while the sane folks in the group go for a leisurely walk to enjoy the views on an easy gravel trail. There are two skybridges. They sit 2,500 feet above the mountain floor and are roughly 200 feet long each. Welcome to majestic Alaska!

FLOW STAFF / SOUL WARRIORS

Rob Macias - "I’ve been fortunate to travel all over the world and couldn’t tell you the last time I was emotionally overwhelmed from the beauty of what I was seeing. Alaska is stunning! The locals love to welcome you. It’s a small town feeling everywhere. Of course the nature…..wow. I saw brown bears, bald eagles, beluga whales, sea otters, trout and multiple kinds of salmon. If you love the power of nature and small town vibes. You’re going to love Alaska. Sit back. Relax. Soak in the power. It’s a once in a lifetime kind of trip.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I’m over 50. Do you think I’ll fit in with the group?

Average age on all Flow trips is 45. That means on nearly every trip we have guests well into their 60’s. Last year we took two people in their 70’s to Alaska and they loved it! We also took teens and they said it was the best experience of their lives. Age is not a factor. All you need is an adventurous spirit.

Do I have to know how to kayak?

Absolutely not. Our trips are designed to be accessible for everyone. We choose locations with flat waters and easy conditions. We have taught 1st time paddlers how to paddle on trips all over the world!

What if I don’t have a roommate?

We always have solo travelers. We will call you to discuss your travel style in order to pair you with the best roommate of the same sex. If you’re an early riser we will pair you with someone similar. Our vacations tend to attract travelers of a similar mind set already. It’s very likely you could room with any guest and be completely content!

Are there men on your trips?

While we do have more women than men on most trips, everyone is welcome! Men, women, couples, singles. Black, white, brown, gay, straight and everyone in between! We are a love tribe. One world. One people.

What kind of shape do I need to be in?

Our trips are accessible for everyone. You don’t need to be an athlete or workout regularly. We have hiking options for all ability levels from a leisurely stroll on a flat path to a challenging climb to stunning peaks.
